Lead magnets are great – in fact they’re one of the most effective list building tools that we know of. So, we’ve made some huge improvements to the way you create and customize lead magnets on ContentUpgrade.me.
But that’s not all! We’ve also introduced two brand new features: CTAs (Calls to Action) and Opt-in forms.
First, let me tell you about the improvements to Lead Magnets.
Live editor: Now you can preview what your lead magnet will look like while you’re editing it. No guessing, no changing values and switching back to the preview. Now when you type in your lead magnet the changes are reflected right away. It’s pretty cool. You can change the heading, the body of your lead magnet, the form placeholder text, the button text, and the color of the button.
Add images: You can now add an image to your lead magnet! Just click and choose a file, and the image appears right away.
Layouts: The layout of your lead magnet is important! Now you can choose from several different layouts that are designed to look great at every screen size. They look fantastic whether your reader is reading Medium on their mobile device or on a big monitor.
Sometimes a lead magnet is overkill for what you want to do. Maybe you just want to include a simple email signup form. Well, now you can do that with ContentUpgrade.me.
Opt-in forms sport all the same customization abilities as lead magnets, except that they just capture your reader’s email address; there’s no download involved.
Calls to Action (CTAs)
Calls to action are another powerful list building tool. Maybe you have a landing page, and you want to direct your readers there. You could use a link, but Medium doesn’t allow you to embed any sort of button or customize the look of the link.
With our CTAs you can now include a big colorful button right in the middle of your Medium post. When the reader clicks the button they’ll be transported to a URL of your choosing.
We’re really excited about these updates, and I hope you are too! Medium has been a great platform for publishing, and now you can use it to build your list.
